Paecilomyces
Paecilomyces a biological nematicide used to control plant parasitic nematodes. Plant–parasitic
nematodes damage the plant roots and reduce the water and nutrient uptake which cause significant
economic losses to a wide variety of crops.
Mode of action: Pragathi–Paecilomyces acts against plant root nematodes by infecting eggs, juveniles,
and adult females thus reducing the population in the soil.When the spore of Paecilomyces comes in
contact with different stages of the nematodes, they germinate and grow and proliferate throughout
the nematode eventually paralysing the nematode leading to the death of the nematode.

Target Nematodes: Effective against cyst nematodes, reniform nematode, root lesion nematodes,
burrowing nematode, citrus nematode and root knot nematodes.
