Azotobacter is a free–living, non–symbiotic, heterotrophic bacteria capable of fixing an
average of 20kg Nitrogen/ha per year. It has several beneficial effects on the crop growth and
yield. These bacteria are regarded as Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) which
synthesize growth substance that enhances plant growth and development and inhibit
phytopathogenic growth by secreting inhibitors.
1. It also helps in nutrient uptake and produces some biochemical substances such as protein,
amino acids etc.
2. It improves seed germination and has beneficiary response on Crop Growth Rate (CGR).
3. It helps to increase nutrient availability and to restore soil fertility for better crop response.
Contains min. of 2X109 CFU/ml of N fixing bacterial strains.
Recommended crops: All vegetable, fruit , cereals, oilseeds, horticulture crops, flowers and
